An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join the Democratic Services and Elections team. You will support and assist the Senior Specialists for Elections & Democratic Services in the delivery of the service plan by providing a comprehensive, high quality service.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • motivated with excellent administrative skills who can plan prioritise their workload and meet tight deadlines.
  • has a good knowledge of elections/democratic procedure and practice
  • ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

A DBS check is an essential requirement of this post as well as a full clean driving licence.

An exciting opportunity have arisen to join our Team. This key role willprovide specialist preventative and accommodation-based crisis support to those at risk of domestic abuse and all forms of sexual exploitation across the Allerdale District.

You will co-ordinate and deliver personalised family and person-centred support through holistic plans which will follow the person or family in the longer term. You willwork with those identified as at risk across all demographics and backgrounds; seeking to improve access to accommodation and support for high risk / hard to engage individuals and families.

The successful candidate will have some knowledge and experience ofSafeguarding, Safety planning, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Exploitation and understanding of homelessness legislation.

The role requires the ability to deal sympathetically with people and assist with emotional and practical issues with the ability to listen, question and challenge sensitively.

Towns Fund Project - Programme Manager, Project Manager - Town Centre Projects & Project Manager - Iron Line

Towns Fund Project – Opportunities to be a part of something amazing. Hosted by Allerdale Borough Council and seconded to Copeland Borough Council.

The Towns Fund is a £3.6 billion funding scheme launched by the Government for towns to improve their economy. Copeland has secured nearly £70 million funding to turbo charge ambitious regeneration plans for Cleator Moor and Millom creating opportunities for residents and businesses alike, whilst protecting the town's unique heritage and character.

This work is being facilitated by Copeland Borough Council as Accountable Body, with strategic direction provided by the Cleator Moor and Millom Town Deal Boards. The Boards comprise a cross section of business, public and community representatives who are keen to see Cleator Moor and Millom grow and thrive. This is regeneration led by the community, for the community and the next steps in the project are influenced by you wanting to be part of this.
