The design was agreed upon after consultation with the local community. If agreed it will be painted by Edinburgh-based artist Nem Sarton. The ‘frame’ on the gable end of the building already exists and the sign will be painted within this.

Hopefully the sign will encourage pedestrians over Cocker Bridge from Main Street into Market Place.
