Residents are being reminded that there will be no changes to bin collections over the upcoming Jubilee bank holidays.

Allerdale’s Waste Collection Teams will be working as normal on both Thursday June 2 and Friday 3 June. Residents are being reminded to leave their bin out for emptying on their usual collection day.

Residents are also being reminded that if they are having a street party and access to their street may be obstructed, that they should place their bins at the end of the street so that they can be emptied.

If there are no street parties planned in their street, residents are being asked to leave their bins in the place they normally would.

Bins should be placed outside ready for emptying before 6am on the day of collection.

As Monday 6 June is not a bank holiday, the normal service for bin collections will be in place.

Allerdale’s Customer Services will be closed from Wednesday June 1 at 5pm and reopen at 9am on Monday, June 6.

Householders can check their collection day – and download a yearly calendar – on the council’s website. Report a missed bin collection here.
