A breakfast briefing has been arranged for tourism businesses in Allerdale to update them on the latest developments in the sector.

Allerdale Borough Council has organised the free event, which will take place from 8:15am on Thursday 22 November at the Skiddaw Hotel in Keswick. It aims to give businesses an insight into the developments in the industry through presentations from a range of organisations.

There will be speakers from Keswick Adventure, the Northern Lake District China Forum, Lake District Mobility, the National Trust and Prism Arts, as well as Eclectic Ltd who will be providing a mini masterclass on using Instagram.

Councillor Bill Jefferson, Executive Member for tourism and culture, said: “Events such as these provide a great forum to not only keep our local businesses up to date with the latest developments, but allows us to gain comments and feedback. It’s important to us to regularly liaise with those in the sector to keep on top of any news or issues, particularly with the development of the ‘We’re Allerdale’ tourism brand. There is a great line-up of speakers joining us for the morning, so I would encourage as many tourism businesses as possible to come along.”

A free breakfast will be available at the event. For full details or to book onto the event, please visit the Event Pilot website or contact the Destinations team on 0303 123 1702.
