Allerdale Local Plan 1999 ARCHIVE INFORMATION ONLY

Following the adoption of the Allerdale Local Plan (Part 1) on 16 July 2014 and the Allerdale Local Plan (Part 2) on 22 July 2020, all of the policies within the Allerdale Local Plan 1999 and the associated Local Plan First Alteration 2006 have been replaced.

The Allerdale Local Plan, Parts 1 and 2 and associated policies maps is now the statutory development plan for the parts of the district outside the Lake District National Park, and the policies contained within them are used to guide development and determine planning applications.

Saved Policies of the Allerdale Local Plan 1999 and Local Plan First Alteration 2006

With the adoption of the Allerdale Local Plan (Part 1) in July 2014,  policies from the Allerdale Local Plan 1999 and Local Plan First Alteration 2006 which related to site allocations were 'saved' until the adoption of the Allerdale Local Plan (Part 2) on 22 July 2020.  These ‘saved’ policies are listed in appendix 9 of the Allerdale Local Plan (Part 1), but have now been replaced.

Proposals Map associated with the Allerdale Local Plan 1999

The proposals maps show the areas of land to which the policies and proposals in the Allerdale Local Plan 1999 apply.  The main map at 1:50,000 scale shows the Plan Area as a whole and a series of larger scale maps called "Insets", for each town and for most of the rural villages.

With the adoption of the Allerdale Local Plan (Part 2) on 22 July 2020 the proposals maps, and the site specific ‘saved’ policies displayed on them, have been replaced, but are available to view for archive purposes.

The Local Plan Proposals Map and the associated settlement inset maps are not contained within the main Plan document and are available to download below.
