Easter waste collections and opening hours
In the week beginning, 22 April, all collections will be a day later with collections usually due on Friday 26 April being carried out on Saturday 27 April. Collections return to normal in the following week. Find out more.

Sports pitches in Allerdale
We are responsible for a number of rugby and football pitches around Allerdale that are available for hire. If you would like to hire a pitch for team practice or a competition, please fill out the appropriate application form below and return to our Sports Development team.

Please note that pitch use is chargeable, per season - currently £50 for a junior pitch and £100 for a senior pitch. The pitches will be maintained, cut and marked throughout the season when notified that they are in use.
The pitches that are maintained by Allerdale are:
- Cloffocks, Workington: 1 junior football (marked pitch but own goals to be provided) - booking through Workington Leisure Centre
- Curwen Hall Park, Workington: 3 senior and 1 junior 9 v 9 pitch
- Ennerdale Road, Maryport: 1 senior football
- Flimby Rec: 1 junior football
- Flimby West Lane: 1 senior rugby
- Highfield, Cockermouth: 1 senior football and 1 rugby pitch
