Bins not been emptied? We do apologise, but due to changes to our waste collection services the crews are finding they are not able to make it to some properties on the right day. We are working to address this. If your bin hasn't been emptied, check our webpage to see if you live in an area we know about and, if so, please just leave your bin out. You do not need to report it to us. We are doing everything we can to return to your property in the following day or two. You can also find out more about the changes to our bin collections and check your bin day with our online calendar.
Reporting a missed bin
Once you have found your property using the system below, you can report a missed bin. Just click on the button "report a missed bin".
You may need to provide contact details when reporting a missed bin. Therefore before reporting it, you may want to read our Waste Services Privacy Notice.
Missed collections - Tuesday 25 June 2019 and Wednesday 26 June 2019
We recently made changes to our bin collection service. Our contractor, FCC, is using completely new rounds which may take a while to get used to. This means that whilst they will do their best to get to everyone, there may be some properties which they don't make it to.
We apologise to anyone affected by this and if the crews were unable to make it you today (and a few properties from Tuesday 25 June), they'll be back round to collect it on Thursday 27 June 2019 where possible.
If you live in any of the affected areas, you won't be able to report a missed bin to us using the online service below as it will likely show "Crews are still working in your area." Please just leave your bins out for collection. We'll take one bag of excess if placed by the side of the bin (except garden waste which can be taken to the local Household Waste Recycling Centre).
Apologies to those affected in the following areas from Tuesday 25 June:
- Refuse - Thursby, Wigton, Hayton, Prospect, Oughterside, Waverton, Salterbeck, Portinscale, Underskiddaw
Apologies also to those affected in the following areas from Wednesday 26 June:
- Refuse - Workington and parts of Keswick
- Glass, cans and plastics - Northside, Barepot, Seaton and Stainburn
- Compost - Seaton, High Seaton, Camerton, Great Clifton
- Paper - Stainburn, High Seaton, Barepot, Camerton
