How to register to vote
The deadline to register to vote in this election was 1 October 2019.
Postal and proxy voting
If you can't make it to the polling booths on election day, then you can apply for a postal or proxy vote.
New applications to vote by post or to change or cancel an existing postal or proxy vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the offices of Allerdale Borough Council not later than 5pm on 2 October 2019 if they are to be effective for this election.
New applications to vote by proxy must be received by the Electoral Registration Officer at the offices of Allerdale Borough Council not later than 5pm on 9 October 2019 if they are to be effective for this election, except applications to vote by proxy on grounds of emergency (medical or work related) occurring after 5pm on 9 October 2019. Such applications may be made not later than 5pm on 17 October 2019.
