Town and parish elections held in May 2023

Parish Council elections took place in the former Allerdale area on Thursday 4 May 2023. More information can be found on the elections webpage.

These elections were managed by the new Cumberland Council after 1 April 2023. Up until this point the teams at Allerdale, Carlisle and Copeland were administering the elections. The same teams will be working on the election after 1 April 2023.

Cumberland Council

On 1 April 2023 local government in Cumbria changed, with Cumberland Council providing all your council services.  

Don't worry though, your bins will be emptied as normal, and you'll still be able to speak to the same team about any enquiries to do with things like council tax, benefits, planning or any other service.
